FloorsEtc (Pty) Ltd - Company Profile

The Company started business in 1989 as a management services business, then in 2005 it began importing and distributing wood laminate flooring. In 2006, the company entered into a five year trading agreement with Kronotex Germany to exclusively handle the import and distribution of their wood laminate products in South Africa, and simultaneously changed its name to Kronotex South Africa (Pty) Ltd.

Since then the business has focused on servicing the South African dealer market as a dedicated importer and distributor of wood laminate flooring, offering a strong distribution support service to a broadly based retail dealer market.

In 2011 the company ceased trading with Kronotex Germany and changed its name to FloorsEtc (Pty) Ltd., thus presenting a new and more appropriate corporate identity which, being non brand specific, allowed the company to develop a broader based market offering.

FloorsEtc today offers a number of well supported branded products that complement each other in such a way as to provide a comprehensive collection of products largely specific to the flooring industry.

In 2008 the company developed its own brand products known as kronoLoc™ and kronoLay™ which it markets extensively throughout Southern Africa, and since mid-2011 it has entered into a long term trading agreement with Parador Germany, to act as sole importers and distributors of the Parador products in Southern Africa.

Today the company operates from its own premises in Linbro Business Park in Johannesburg, where it has an extensive warehouse, offices and showroom as well as technical and training facilities to support a broad based sector of products into the retail market. Additionally the company provides a very strong support service, which not only backs up the retailer, but also guarantees support to the end user at all levels.

The company is privately owned and managed by the shareholders.

KronoLoc:

KronoLoc™ is a trademarked brand owned and supported exclusively by our company. The product range currently offers five ranges of product starting with the Ruby Collection as an 8mm AC3 Class 31 range in 8 colours, Tanzanite Collection as 8mm AC4 Class 32 in 6 colours, Diamond Collection as 12mm, acoustically backed, for sound deadening, AC4 Class 32 in 6 colours, Aquamarine Waterproof Collection is a 9mm PVC/Vinyl product AC4 Class 32 in 6 colours, and finally Reflection Collection in 12mm super high gloss black or white aimed at display and exhibition market.

Parador:

The Parador product is a top end super high quality laminate in 8mm and 9mm AC4 Class 32 going up right up to heavy duty commercial quality AC6 class 34 laminate, with over 10 ranges to choose from. The products are not only high design, but even offer customer custom design floors with quantities from as little as 110m2 for these specials. Additionally Parador offer a huge range of Solid wood and Engineered wood flooring as well as decking, ceiling cladding and screening products.

Parador are the only company in the world to have achieved Red Dot design and German Design Council awards for design of laminate flooring, and they regard themselves as market leaders in laminate design.
