Care and Maintenance
- Prevention: First make sure the floor has a protective finish or if not then apply one, further use door mats at external doors to trap dirt and water and use felt protectors under furniture legs. Do not use mats with a rubber or foam backing as this can alter the colour of your floor.
- Daily Care: Vacuum or sweep your floor daily and clean with a damp cloth where necessary and wipe up spills immediately.
- Cleaners: Use only cleaners recommended by the manufacturer or supplier and make sure it is a rinse free cleaner to avoid build-up on the floor.
- Polish: Vinyl floors can be polished or waxed to retain their shine and again make sure you use the manufacturers recommended product, avoid paraffin based products
